It’s amazing how much the culture and geography can change in five hours in this country. I’m sitting here in this massive airport looking at people from all over the country and world. As I recall, the first time I ever flew out of our local Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport (surrounded by corn fields), I asked the nice lady who checked me in which gate I go to. With her pleasant Southern accent she said, “Honey, there ain’t but
one”. I’m a long way from home.
